The treatment
Is it permanent?
It works on the internal structure of the hair, so treated lengths keep their new texture. Some frizz may gradually return over time, and regrowth is treated at the next appointment.
How can it work without formaldehyde?
The formula acts inside the hair fibre, so it does not rely on formaldehyde or formaldehyde-releasing preservatives to deliver results.
Is it suitable during pregnancy?
The formula is considered non-toxic, but it has not been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women. Clients should check with their GP or midwife before booking.

How should I consult with a new client?
Start with the result they want. Some want poker-straight hair, others simply want softer, frizz-free curls. ProAddiction lets you tailor the outcome, so set expectations before you begin.
Should I treat before or after colour, highlights or bleach?
Lightening and highlights go first. Colour is applied after the ProAddiction service, never before it.
Do I need a clarifying shampoo?
Only on virgin hair at darker levels (1–5): one light wash to lift build-up and open the cuticle.
How do I treat regrowth?
Apply to the regrowth only, then emulsify briefly through previously treated lengths before rinsing thoroughly.
Does flat-iron technique matter?
Yes. Texture change is driven by heat, so work in fine sections with slow, steady passes at the temperature set out in your training.
Is a shampoo needed after flat ironing?
Yes. Shampoo and follow with the Hydrating Mask to restore moisture and pH balance after the service.
Aftercare
Can clients swim afterwards?
Yes, but chlorine and salt water dry the hair and invite frizz. Shampoo after swimming and leave the Hydrating Mask on for around ten minutes.
